Valerie’s Bio

At a very young age, Valerie West has proven herself to be a very versatile and talented performer. For her, it started in 2007 with the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA) in New York where she exhibited her talents at the age of five. Afterwards, she got introduced to the local theatres where she performed in children’s shows.

In July 2009, she joined the Delco Idol Jr. Vocal Competition where at the end of the championship round the following month, she was declared overall winner. Valerie was seven then and the youngest among the contestants. Vocal coaching followed afterwards.

In July 2011, Valerie won in the Rising Star Vocal Competition at home in Pennsylvania. She went on to join the Sea Isle City’s Got Talent 2011 where she won first place in the opening night and ended with fourth place in the finals. In 2012, She competed again at the Sea Isle City's Got Talent Competition and was crowned the winner.

Valerie did not only stick to singing. She took part in commercials such as Superior Homes and Pest Quest; modeled for H&M Kids Clothing for their Fall 2008 European catalogue; and was part of the music video of “Dame De Tu Boca”.

Valerie also performed in theatres. To mention a few, she played the roles of Little Kim in “Showboat” and Munchkin-Flying Monkey in “Wizard of Oz” at the Media Theatre. She also acted as a Royal Child in “The King and I” at Walnut Street Theatre.

Valerie manages to keep up with her singing and acting career while maintaining good grades in school being a full-time student at the same time. She is an only child to her loving parents Ed and Dorie who are her #1 fans and all-out supporters especially when it comes to continuously developing her given talents and in giving the right focus on her education needs.
